Amsterdam (Netherlands) \u2013 <\/strong>The Elevion Group is entering the second biggest PV market in the EU, the Spanish market. The first step in the market entry is the establishment of the new local entity of BELECTRIC, BELECTRIC Espa\u00f1a. The new company will focus on utility-scale activities in photovoltaics and energy storage from project development and EPC to O&M along the entire value chain. To ramp-up the development activities in Spain, Elevion Group finalized an asset deal of the Murcia-based developer Navitacum, which has been fully integrated into BELECTRIC Espa\u00f1a and will continue its operation under the BELECTRIC brand within the new company.  With this deal Elevion Group and BELECTRIC have gained an experienced team and projects in different phases of development as well as a good customer base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spanish market has evolved into one of the Europe\u2019s most attractive photovoltaic markets ranking second after Germany in terms of new installations. This trend offers significant growth prospects for Elevion Group with its focus on green energy solutions. For BELECTRIC, the step represents the re-entry into the Spanish market, following the construction of the 50 MWp solar farm Alarcos near Poblete, in the Spanish province of Ciudad Real back in 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWith this step, we are setting course for growth and building on our previous project experience in Spain. We will benefit from the expertise of the Spanish team, which has more than 15 years of experience in the market and will now become part of the group, operating further under the BELECTRIC brand.\u201d, explains Jaroslav Macek, CEO of Elevion Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paloma M\u00e9ndez P\u00e9rez has become the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of BELECTRIC Espa\u00f1a. She has already worked for BELECTRIC in the past and has more than 14 years of experience in the Spanish and global photovoltaic industry. In addition to EPC companies, she has also gained experience in large energy utilities. The management board of BELECTRIC Espa\u00f1a will be complemented by Thorsten Blanke, CEO of BELECTRIC. He knows the Spanish market from his time as the Managing Director of the Andasol solar thermal power plant and his time at innogy, where several hundred megawatts peak of projects were developed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
